i know man. i am so burnt out right now its not funny. especially when its so close. even more difficult when its classes that you don't care about. i could take 1 class next semester and still graduate. lulz. taking 3 total classes though for shits and giggles as thats full-time for a grad student and what my grant pays for...so why not.

7 level is moar responciblilty for same moneys. now when someone finishes a repair on a jet I can sighn it off. I also get to head up a metric fuck ton of programs like haz-waste, government purchace cards, building management, and equipment management. to name a few.

i have been contemplating the USN IHO gig, just to get a different exposure to safety. about 3-4 higher folks in the safety/iho side of the USN are murray state grads. i may do that opposed to any private industry.

private industry $$$ > public stuff
public stuff experiences/exposure > private stuff

by public you mean military stuff? i would say yes, and as far as promotion, not sure. i have heard plenty of previous military folks go to govt contractor and make bank that away when done with obligations of service. one prof here just got done with 20 years as a safety guy for the usn. he got a phd while in, and all sorts of other stuff.

private industry as in oil/gas/manufacturing/etc, pretty much the stuff i would be going into everyone has real similar backgrounds in terms of education and previous experiences. my ability to stand out is coming from the programs i have been too.
