Got woken up at 3:30 this morning cause the alarm in the shop went off. I was ready to shot someone but there was nothing.

Got to work around 7:30 cause of the bad weather and it goes off again SO I haul ass home and nothing.

doesn't matter cause I'm buying a glock today so when the day really does come, I'll be putting man stoppers into someones head.

I think the cat was settting the sensor off so now he is in the garage.

Then you will no longer be posting here because you will be in Jail. Well I shouldn't say that I dont know how Texas law is but you just cant go shooting someone on your property for setting the alarm off.

Yes, you can. Private property = Tresspassing. You have the right to defend YOUR stuff/land.

Its not like our house is right off the road. We are about 50 yards away from the main road in ALL directions. So if someone is on our property not selling girl scout cookies then they aren't here for good things.

Trespassing or not, if you are not threatened and you shoot an unarmed person then you are in the wrong, at least here in FL. You can only shoot in self defense if you feel you are threatened and bodily harm can be done to you. Texas may be different on how that is handled though, I dont know

I pretty much stated that already. You can't just "pass" thru our land. If someone is our property, setting off our shop alarm, they aren't there for good. We have a fence around 40 acres of our land, closed gates and we live way off the road. You can't just "accidently" walk onto our land is what I'm saying. If they aren't a post man, they probably aren't here for a good reason.



This is a picture at the end of our driveway. I'm standing on the county road here. Like I'm saying. A unknown person can't just stumble onto our land NOT knowing they are on private property.

I'm not saying you are right or wrong, just trying to make sure you know the laws and rules of your area. But, if you shoot someone, unarmed, on your land there better only be one story to tell when all is said and done.
