the "delivery confirmation" will be me going to the post office and hoping there is a slip in my PO box telling me i have a package.

You have to have a PO box here if you live within town limits. No mailboxes at your driveway unless you live out in teh sticks.

In my scrap collection I have a pair of these:

They're made of pretty thick stock (thick enough to make a clutch slave bracket

). I think I'm going to hack them into a plow for my truck and bash some of the snow in my yard...
