does your burb have the older interior? The squared dash?
My parents burb has that, but it has an equalier with tape in the center, then the buttons/clock up next to the gauges. It's a two-piece. So if you put a stereo in, it goes down in the middle part and the upper part becomes useless so you need to put a pocket in there or just leave the original stuff that no longer works. I keep trying to tell my dad to get a stereo for it, he refuses even though the stock one has gone to shit. Tape is stuck in it, if you manage to get it out, the next one gets stuck. The speakers are all shot. Plus he wants aux/cd but wants the stock stereo, that's not going to happen easily.

I put a single DIN radio in my NBS in place of the 1.5 DIN or whatever that size is. I didn't even screw it in, I just tucked it so it's kinda hooked on the bezel and it stays well enough. There's an inch gap above and to one side of it.
Fucking truck is rotting to dust, I don't think it will exist by the end of next summer.

$10-20? Do I look like I'm made of money?
Stereo was free. Before that I was using computer speakers. Power input specification was 12 volts AC, but FIDIL dirty automotive 14.4 volts DC power somehow worked.

You should buy the proper connector and splice that with the new stereo, rather than cu the OEM harness. Even broke-ass cao does that.
You can buy antenna adapter at Walmart and shit, but FIDIL USB FTW.

Did you cut off a connector that came as part of the car? If so, you shouldn't have. Instead, you buy a connector made to mate with that one, and you splice the new one to the new radio's harness then plug the whole thing in to the OEM connector.

oh, no, it was an aftermarket radio. see the face of the radio it has now was stolen, so mom had no radio. so it already had "new" connector, had to cut off old radio harness and match wires from it to the new radio. hope that makes sense

Original wiring > connector > aftermarket wiring > stereo and you cut the "aftermarket wiring" part and spliced it into the new stereos wiring? If so, then you did that right
