Anything 98+ be interchangeable? read that they are really easy to swap, just use spring compressor and jack. Dfw.

dont even need a spring compressor....jack up ur car, put stands on body/frame....then jack up the lower control arm, loosen spindle and tie rod bolts, remove alk nuts and then SLOWLY lower the jack, spring will slide right out once arm is all the way down.

ive done it this way a bunch of times, never needed a compressor, even when installing a longer spring

well 1978 till 1998 share the same front setup 03 up went to rack and pinion and 1992 up share the same rear set up. but im thinking this dosent affect springs either way.

So maybe stick with 99-02 when looking for donor sprangz?

i meant 92-02 my bad. so if you have a 01 any 92-02 would def swap. but id ask on cv.net there id say the springs swap on all.

anyhow im not sure if the springs changed in 03 but in 03 the cars went from steering box to rack and pinion. as for 78-91 there is something different with the control arm mounts. again i dont see it affecting the springs but i would ask to make sure. which i dont see you wanting a 88 springs anyhow cause there probably pretty wore and hard to find the police ones. while getting the sprins the sway bars are also good to grab them too.

well if you cut 6 inches out it might but im talking half inch to a inch lower.

fidil get 1 spring from junk yard, cut into 4 pieces, use for whole car

So he replaced his trunk torsion springs with gas struts...I want to do the opposite, I hate the damned gas struts and want torsion springs in . I wonder how hard it would be.
