Real good family friend bought the car brand new, special ordered. this guy worked with my grandfather at the same ppg plant, always lived down the street from us, and our family would do their landscaping/house duties type deal. when he passed, she also went downhill real quick, and the family sold the car to my uncle. my uncle bought it and stayed in the garage for a couple years, and sold it to my grandparents. it currently sits in their garage, and when i graduate the car is my graduation gift.

the time frame was about june/july/august of 2007, i was looking for a new(er) car to drive for college in oklahoma. i told them i would have no problem getting the CV if something were to happen with them. in short, i ended up with the dodge ram to drive. several days before coming home for fall break 2007, my mom and uncle called me saying they had news for me. well i get home and there is a car under a cover in his garage, due to the size i could tell it was a CV. sure enough it was. they also told me about the plans as far as what was stated above.

Mom's father bought new. Then he died and we gave it to dad's mother. She got rid of it when she sold her house and bought a new car and I made it known that I really really wanted it.

I drove it recreationally for a year or two. Then I couldn't afford to insure a car I'm not driving much so I took it off the road. I looked longingly at it in my yard and occasionally started it and drove it around the block to prevent everything from seizing up. In 2009 I got the idea to convert it to stick. Then I could get good fuel economy and I could truly enjoy driving it every day. Summer of 2010 I did it...and now I DD it.

its not that i don't want to drive it, i don't want it to get abused to which i know a college parking lot will do that. once i get a place and have the ability to have a nice car as an extra vehicle for a nice day, that'll be CVs place.

Korkah had adventure while searching for CV. I wanted low miles so that eliminated most CVs that I found automatically. The ones I did find were either too new ($$) or beat to hell or something. This one was clean inside, clean under the hood, 34k miles, the body was straight, ran like sekz, etc and was cheap because of the paint on the drivers side. Part of me wishes I had waited and paid more for something with better paint but at the same time I love the car and the paint is just a visual thing, everything else is great.
