I bought a Dorman intake, I didn't know PI's had a different intake or I could have looked for one of those.

The Dorman should do the jerb.

its called the pi intake as some type of injection not as pi as in police. after a certain year they all had it. its when they upped the hp.

Well I already ordered the Dorman. Now idk if I should just clean and put the OEM back on or use the Dorman. Don't have the money to buy an OEM PI intake. They're $240 and don't include gaskets or the thermostat from the looks of it. The Dorman was $140 including the gaskets/thermostat.

I know what I have but I've read that the intakes are still prone to cracking in a few places and that I might as well swap it out while I have it all taken apart. Can't afford another OEM PI intake so I picked up a Dorman.

Now I'm debating on returning the Dorman (I'd have to eat shipping ) and cleaning/replacing the OEM one until it cracks. Motor only has 62k mi on it but it is 14 years old in AZ heat.

finally got oil change and replaced gasket on cv that i think was leaking mechanic erased the code so going to have to wait to see if it comes back

Got all my parts in. Gonna buy all the cleaners and shit that mexichanic wants on Friday and fix CV on Sunday. Dfw CV back. Driving 92 suburban now.

Putting decent pads/rotors on the CV was a good investment. Bish stops nice and quiet now.
