youtube is your friend cezors. but basically put a piece of heat shrink on wire slide it out of the way of solder points. strip wires back just enough to twist to together. put wires together like you and rey do you when you penor sword fight. tips facing each other. twist them together. solder iron should be hot before you start. take your solder and the iron melt a gob of it on the wire. you heat the wire then touch the solder to it. do it at the same time though. after its all together so it wont pull apart slide your heat shrink over the nekkid place to cover heat it with lighter to shrink. your done.

ok. soounds easy enough. so i still twist wires together, touch them with solder iron and then add the soder?

cez, no wonder you were kinda confused on how to wire it up, that stereo already has a wiring harness from another vehicle on it. This is how the wires from the stereo should look (more or less):

Radio may have wires labeled right on it, but if not, they're in the manual. Look up your car on the12volt.com and match wires.

The important thing with soldering is that the solder sticks to the wires. The wires themselves have to melt the solder; if you have to touch the solder directly to the iron to melt it, you probably won't get a good joint. A cold joint is when the iron melted the solder and it kinda went around the wires but didn't really stick to them and it may not work for long. You can tell it's good when the solder wicks into the wire strands instead of kind floating on the outside of it. It pulls along the wire.

yea i figured that out 3/4 of the way. i was trying to do solder/iron directly to wire for 1/4 of the procedure. after a while i rested the wires on one end of iron and then touched the solder to wire where it melted nicely. need to figre out how to remove radio

You're doing it wrong. You just use the coat hanger to break it up. The pieces will come out on their own in the alley after you leave.
