dude always gives honest advice and cheap solutions told me to spray armor-all on belt to stop squeel noise...noise stopped told me to put fuel injection to cleaner in tank for faster crankz...car starts up instantly most fools be liek, "popping noise? you need brand new engine" Quote:
same thing happened bitches squeeled like a gawd deem stuck pig old gai mechanic basically said it was like glass rubbing on glass nothing wrong with them it just not the best material to make brakes out of because of the noise they make he told me to take the car out on a mostly empty road and get it up around 30 to 40 mph and slam on the brakes to rough them up some i was too scared to really do it so I just did pussy slam noise did get quieter |

Yes my ceramics on all my cars are quiet. Buddy makes brakes at federal mogul, he is the guy that does the mix for the pad to be made from. He said sometimes the batch doesnt get mixed well and there will be a clump in the pad that may not be visible until a few miles or a few thousand miles in. Mine had an obvious chunk of shit in the pad so I took them back and traded. Been good ever since

I had been putting cheap pads/rotors on my truck and nizz every time they needed them and they'd wear out quick, squeak like fuck, and on the truck they would warp after a while (it's hot as fuck here). So when the CV needed brakes I said fts and got some good ones. Went through Napa and got all new rotors and ceramic pads. Bish is quiet and stops better than it did before.
Not going to buy cheap pads again fts.

You might could put anti-squeal goop on the backing plate. Cheap, easy band-aid for pads you like that squeak.
I buy cheapest Advance Auto Parts pads for beaters, and best or one level below best Auto Zone (because crazy good warranty) for keepers.

I agree aboot Advance's online in store pickup with codes thing, that shit's tough to beat.
When Auto Zone says "lifetime warranty" they mean it. When you wear out brake pads or a clutch or whatever, you just bring it in and they give you new ones. Therefore, any parts I expect to replace again before the end of the car's life I prefer to buy there. Examples: http://forums.anandtech.com/archive/...t-2059325.html Quote:
