I usually have sound muted but I unmuted it while playing Fallout Shelter for a few minutes. Shit sounds exactly like the slot machine section at a casino.

I don't know how long I'll keep playing it, but I am kinda enjoying it a little My complaints remain but it's a kinda nice challenge to try to do better. iPad2 can't handle it with too many characters, it started getting difficult to operate at 75. As it approached 100 some additional bugs started to show up...instead of walking across the floor and taking the elevator, characters are rapturing up and down through floors.

I started playing Star Trek Trexels too. It has some different settings (as in, evironments), things to do, etc. Looks like it might be more interesting.

Yeah, I noticed that, along with the general visual theme for the splash screen, main menu, etc. But what I meant was during gameplay it's constant buzzes, clicks, and jingling that sound exactly like hundreds of slot machines.

I don't suppose any of you guys know any Android lo-fi RPGs that don't use modern graphics but don't require typing text? If you're familiar with BBS door games like Land of Devastation and Operation Overkill ][, or SSI's Gold Box AD&D games for DOS, or original X-Com: UFO Defense...something along those lines, preferably set in a wasteland, and made to be played on phones like my low-end stuff.

Also, you might like the first two fallouts but they're on Windows only (unless some haxery is used). They don't fit what you asked for but they are 2d, lots of reading, 3/4 view (not fps), set in a wasteland.
