How hard could torque converter be? Seems like it would be easy for someone who can handle engine rebuild.

Its technically easy but I read horror stories about the bolts stripping becausd GM use soft allen head bolts and the converter has to seat 2 or 3 times. Was just being cautious with that one.

's was easy enough to take out, but I didn't particularly care and who knows what they did 25+ years later.

yeah, I like polished/painted over chrome on most wheels. Chrome looks good on some too but usually prefer polished/painted.

So Ive had the roll up cover for a month now....love it!
Did have a lil mishap tho, I bet one of the latches with a tire that was in the bed and rolled back. Since the latch is aluminum, all i did was take it off...put it on the vise and hammered it back into shape As some of u know, i also picked up a set of declads....those will be going on soon too! I test fitted one last night and it looks like Ive got to sand off the coating on the hub bore....I didnt think it would interfere, but it was a pain to get the wheel on/off...so I'll be sanding it off before I mount my tires. I had also been chasing down a stupid noise in my front end...at first I thought it was a bj or something, turns out my pass side inner tie rod is worn so I ordered a reman AC Delco rack (Rockauto had best price @$158) but the noises wasnt when turning. Video page Full screen Pulled the wheel off, started wiggling shit n whatnot...turned out to be loose brake pads Ive never replaced the shims in the 77k miles Ive owned it and lawd knows how many miles those shims had already on em...Ive just swapped pads n rompd since my rotors looked fine n never got steering wheel shakes when stopping. Well, turns out these things do wear out and will let the pads move around....no worries, I had the new ones from when I installed the current pads on there now. Slapped those on and noise is gone ACDelco Steering rack was pissing fluid like crazy This thing was $157 plus 150 core...well worth the money. I swapped out the bushings tho, I put some Daystar polyurethane bushings pn KG06001BK...really tightens up the steering feels Flushed out the chocolate steering fluid After 3 cycles of sucking out the ressi and then firing it up again Ordered some amsoil power steering fluid and a cardone power steering filter...this lil guy is badass...has a magnet and is serviceable. Didnt get to install these yet, since I was running out of time and didnt wanna fuck around with height/length adjustments...plus i thought i wasnt gonna run em but after figuring them out, im gonna install them this week along with my poly swaybar bushings pn 3.5213R. got dem there heims installed Ride height Full droop Angle looks good, ready for an alignment Also got the swaybar bushings on, fit perfectly....didnt have time for the end links, but thats up next
