My list of piles ......rough mileage estimates, some are only duration of ownership. Prices are just part of the story in some cases

80 Camaro Z28
Bought 8/2000 as first car for $250 with 125k miles? Got it running with .75$ fuel line and a few quarts of ATF. Kept it for 4 years DFK how many miles I put on it but the motor was replaced with a hot 355 after the lifters mushroomed on year 2

1990 5.0 LX Hatch (for profit)
bought 9/2002 for $500 with 120k miles and blown headgaskets, spent $100 on gaskets and coolant and sold for $2500 a week later. Should have kept it and sold off the camaro

1987 Firebird Formula 5.0 (LG4 305 with quadrajet)
bought in 2/2003 for $1200 to drive while the camaro was down. Car had 120k miles and the most perfect 3rd gen interior I have ever seen. Car was wrecked in 6/2003 by a stupid old lady who ran a redlight in a dodge neon; also took out a concrete bus bench, curb and a streetsign in the same accident. Car drove home crooked with the steering wheel 90* off. insurance paid $3600 for it

91 S10 Blazer 4.3 AKA "King POS"
Bought 9/2003 as a beater to drive after formula wreck......thought it had 160k miles but it was probably more like 360k. Ex fleet truck that hardly ever saw service since the cam/main bearings died a horrible squealing death after 10k miles of ownage. Disassembly revealed 1" of sludge buildup in the cam valley, several blocked oil drain passages and caked up valvesprings. replaced with 130k mile 94 Vortec motor from rolled truck......my truck also rolled over after motor install; ironically it was exactly a year after the Formula wreck (bad juju?)

1989 mustang 5.0 GT vert/1988 LX Coupe
bought 8/2004 @114k miles for $1300 at a chevy dealership. Bad t5 replaced with ford racing trans, headgaskets popped @120k, owned for 8 years and god knows how much money invested in speed parts. Stripped to build the 1988 Coupe 10/2009.

1993 mustang LX 2.3 coupe
bought from original owner with 180k miles with bad clutch/T5 for $500 in 2005. Car was a base model stripper, power nothing black coupe with immaculate black cloth interior. Installed new $120 autozone valeo clutch, $20 timing belt and a set of 16" Pony's from the 89 GT...... drove with grinding 1/2 synchro for 2 years and sold for $850 at about 198k miles. Could shift through 4 gears without clutch as long as I revved it above 3500. Motor had such low compression that it would randomly roll downhill if parked in my buddy's steep driveway. I came out a few times and it was blocking the street . Took many 300 mile roadtrips in this car aside from daily driver duty while the 5.0 was acting up. Also survived a 20 mile drive through the full force of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and ran over a few trees in the process.

2006 Silverado 1500 4.3
bought in 2/2007 with 14.5k miles from original owner; deal too good to pass up. Now has 57k miles. Just add gas and change the oil regularly.......

1988 LX 5.0 Coupe

Bought in 10/2009 as a roller with 6 point cage for $800. Stripped/parted out and transplanted all goodies from the 89 Vert to the 1988 Coupe. Between selling off the remains of the GT chassis and some unneeded parts that came with the coupe this project only cost $50 in the end. Sold this year with 138K miles
