I tried that and still wound up working the same shitty jobs I left to attend college. Couldn't find a major I liked enough to justify the severe non-scholarship debt

Eh, my job doesn't seem like its going to be around another year so its either ride the Titanic to the bottom or bail and do something else. I feel going back to school is my best bet. Sorry to hear it did not work out so well for you.

I will worry more about my major once I get in and get settled in a routine. I got enough to worry about beforehand. I will have some time to sit down and think more about it once I'm in and going to class.

I enjoyed history, but the payrate for a history teacher sucks major; and I didn't want t be a teacher with school debt when I could find a BS job that pays similar with no debt.


I'm still kicking myself for leaving my elevator constructor job after 4 months. $14.75 to start with a payscale maxed at $38 /hr for a mechanic when 4 years of training is completed. Probably higher now since that was the rate I was paid in 2004

thats good. those general classes have plenty of slots so its more flexible than specific courses so you should be good the first few semesters to take it easy sorta

yea i like history too, if i were i history teacher, id prawlee be one in a private school or a very good public school. paid vacation ftw :crazy:

Man we all look back on choice like that and go "well ya know" but that is life. I did the same with another job I left to go to where I am now. Had I known I would be dealing with the shit I do now I would have never left the other job. My bosses there actually appreciated my work and me as an employee and did not treat me like shit.
