What year you have again? My 96 doesn't have a drain plug. It isn't THAT messy to do it OG style though. Just loosen the bolts starting from a corner and let the pan drop at an angle and drain out. Just make sure you have a nice big bucket or something to catch oil when you completely remove the pan because it leaks from the whole area.

What year you have again? My 96 doesn't have a drain plug. It isn't THAT messy to do it OG style though. Just loosen the bolts starting from a corner and let the pan drop at an angle and drain out. My 2002 has a drain plug. I've never tried opening it, but if I do I guess I'll be prepared for a struggle. That wouldn't be any different than any other bolt on my truck.
