Your system restore got you running again but you need to check for remnants of the virus that could bring it back to life. I recommend Spybot and Malwarebytes for you.

Fuck freecreditreport.com. I hate the way that they imply that they're involved in the government-mandated free credit report system. I also hate their stupid jingles.

The real free credit reports are at http://www.annualcreditreport.com and nowhere else. When you go there it sends you to each of the 3 agencies' sites for your free report and does not charge you for anything or make you sign up for anything, although the agencies do try to get you to buy services.

That popup in the bottom corner is pretty damn cool.
