2005_Silverado 04-09-2010 11:31 PM

does tire move up/down when u push at 12 and 6 o clock position? sounds like baleros

--------- Post added at 03:31 PM --------- Previous post was at 03:29 PM ---------

sounds to me like a bearing cuz now that u no haz weight on tire, its not making noise...if tire wobbles when pushing at 12/6 and or 3/9...its baleros :imo:

Cez★ 04-09-2010 11:31 PM

fuckkk didnt check that.
ill handle it tomorrow morning. pawps is almost here and hell :pissed:
baleros? fuuu.
think ill need new ones or just grease em?

2005_Silverado 04-09-2010 11:32 PM

didnt u change them when u sf the bf?

Cez★ 04-09-2010 11:33 PM

yea i changed them then. new rotors tambien.

Manbearpig 04-09-2010 11:34 PM

Brake pad indicators sticking out past the pad material?

Cez★ 04-09-2010 11:35 PM

didnt check that either
i just rotated teh wheel to see if i could hear it

2005_Silverado 04-09-2010 11:43 PM

theholycow 04-09-2010 11:44 PM

Even if it doesn't wobble it's probably wheel bearings.

---------- Post added at 06:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:43 PM ----------

My wife is pissed off today and I have no idea why.

2005_Silverado 04-09-2010 11:44 PM

:imo: the "no noise w/o weight on wheels" kinda makes me wanna be sure its baleros

Cez★ 04-09-2010 11:45 PM

need new ones?

2005_Silverado 04-09-2010 11:45 PM

maybe pops overtightened? and wore out prematurely?

if that be problem, si :(

get some timken(sp) brand...think its an orange box with black letters....never had issues with them

Cez★ 04-09-2010 11:49 PM

:hmm: maybe. pero i tried turning wheel and thought it was too tight. then i untightened a bit
ill take wheels off tomorrow and see. should be nice tomorrow morning. i think those be what i got

---------- Post added at 05:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:47 PM ----------

Cez★ 04-09-2010 11:58 PM

iz no replace races. we just did the bearings. i think the races came in the rotor

theholycow 04-09-2010 11:59 PM

Tighten the nut while spinning the rotor or hub, then loosen it, then use about half as much force as it took to tighten it again. If there is question, consult the service manual for the correct torque specifications—don't guess.
What, REALLY? Look it up and use a torque wrench? Blasphemy!
