Investigators were on the hunt for a killer Monday after they say a young mother who hitched a ride with a stranger was found dead in a field.

Houston police said Raquel Mundy, 24, had dropped her mom and two kids off at a Greyhound bus station around 1:30 a.m. Thursday when she discovered her car had been towed from a McDonald’s parking lot.

Police said Mundy got her mother’s debit card to pay the tow bill and attempted to reach family members for a ride. When she couldn’t get anyone, witnesses said she got into a grey car with an unknown man.

Mundy later texted her mother, saying she thought she was in danger and was with a man she didn’t know, investigators said.

The next day, police said a homeless man discovered Mundy’s body in a field in the 300 block of St. Charles.

An autopsy later revealed that she had been strangled.

Ok so I went to deuce right now and someone comes in, goes to the stall next to mine, pisses then flushes. No one else is in there so all the urinals were open, why he pisses in the stall? Whatever no big deal. So then I leave the stall and he is still in his with the door open leaning all weird trying to kick the handle to flush it. Ok whatever I guess he just no wanna touch handle, I get that. Now I'm washing my hands and he comes up behind me and just stands there staring at the wall. There are 2 sinks, 2 soap dispensers, why isn't he washing his hands? Right after I finish washing my hands and walk to the paper towels, he goes to the other sink and washes his hands. He waited for me to leave even tho he didn't use the sink I was at :wtf:
