Well I found another prob w the truck. The brakes went to the floor at an intersection today on the wway to hannahs. I checked the fluid and it was damn near empty. There are no visible leaks anywhere! Where the hell can it be going???????

theholycow 04-13-2010 11:30 AM

Can a BB leak BF into a vacuum line if it has rotted?

Pull the rear wheels and drums off. $10 says the rear wheel cylinders are leaking. Mine did that and never saw it until I had the drums off one day.

Highly doubt it.

JayBo 04-13-2010 01:23 PM

When I put my tires on I'll def pull them and look.

I did the auto-adjust thing where you brake hard in reverse to try and see if maybe the rar drums were just out of adjustment. It helped a little, but when I checked the fluid it was allllmost empty. Mainly the front.

Cadbury Creme Eggs are a diet food. That's right, you read that right.

If you eat a Creme Egg, you may not be hungry for your next meal. However, if you look at their nutritonal content:
http://dietfacts.com/html/nutrition-...nter-10646.htm
...that's a mere 170 calories, and that's for the 39 gram egg. A few years ago they downsized the US-market eggs to 34 grams. Probably a few less calories.

Maybe I should go on the Cadbury Creme Egg diet.

Those things are notorious for sticking. My RR was stuck and I replaced the shoes last spring. Had to take pliers to move the star-wheel thingy.

Those things are disgusting.

So, where could my brake fluid be going? If its not coming out of the wheel cylinder, could the ABS module be leaking?

They are not disgusting. They are like eating God's jizz :uhoh:, inside of chocolate. I don't eat candy often but I sure like those.

JayBo 04-13-2010 01:53 PM

I'm not big on candy anymore, and I've for damn sure never liked those things!

Master cylinder itself could be leaking. Seals on the front calipers too. pretty much it

I've had very minor problems with the brakes ever since I had the brake booster/mstercylinder replaced a couple years ago after that accident.
They always felt spongy unless you pumped them a time or 2 then they were spot on. I bled and rebled, etc. I dunno wtf could be the deal
