I think the parking issue is because the maneuvers you do to get into/out of the space are not compatible with the other traffic on the road.

I mean someone's not going to cross the road in traffic to get to a spot lol.

I only did it because it was an end spot and I could just drive out after. It's kind of hard to explain but I'm not going to drive into a middle spot in between two already parked cars going the wrong way with oncoming traffic.
