:roflsrsly: I never owned a torque wrench till I started working on my quad. Most of the time my pops would just say "Pay attention to how much muscle it took you to remove the bolt...use that as a guide and you'll know when it feels right" :psycho:

:uhoh: Putting it back on as hard as you took it off might work where you live...here you'll snap bolts doing that. Half the time you snap them taking it off anyway.

BTW, the way I took his words...and I never asked him if I was right assuming this...was that I shouldnt have to put as much muscle tightening as it took to loosen. Bolts do get seized and can tighten up by themselves...thats where the "it'll feel right" comes in :rofl: I stripped my fair share of aluminum threads on water inlets and misc threads on aluminum intakes :(

at first i thought it was the brake shield grinding on something

Did you try spinning the wheel to see if it spins freely?

yeap. did that when i got home. they spun free. something else i though of was that my brakes got "stuck" on the rotors but the sound skips a beat sorta.
