Kinda. I get noise/whynz when I hook up my phone/ipod/etc to the aux in and cig lighter at the same time. I'm not sure if a GLI behind the stereo would stop it or if it would have to be something that the aux cable goes through :shrug:

I had aux cable whine. Ground loop isolator didn't help. I re-wired it (it was my hacked aux-in) and then it was good.

My aux cable involves no hax though, its just a male to male 3.5mm cable that goes from the back of the deck, through the dash, and to my phone. Cable is a fairly thick one too so I don't think its that. :(
