A seven-vehicle pileup caused a major backup during Monday morning's commute.

Houston police said the wreck happened on the Gulf Freeway near U.S. 59 at about 6:35 a.m.

All three lanes of the freeway were closed while crews cleaned up the wreckage. The freeway has since reopened.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
