I just gotta keep alive so I can keep my kill streaks going. Seems every time I get on a good roll some fucker I missed pops me outta no where :nono:

I was going to try to go in to the machine shop and talk in person about the flywheel but I can't get there when they're open, so I called. Dude can't help...says he can't even match-balance the flywheel to the flexplate. I've spent the last week not searching for my flywheel, thinking I could just let the machine shop git'r'done, turns out I gotta go back to the grindstone.

i think thats what it was brah, me pops needed an internally balanced flywheel instead of one with the weights in the back....not as easy as just slapping it on

Internally balanced is easy for the machine shop. Hand them the flywheel and say "make it neutral-balanced". It's a fucking mystery trying to balance for my engine...

Match-balancing should work. You sandwich them together, 180° out of phase, and balance the flywheel until the entire assembly is neutral. The shop I talked to thinks that won't work because the flywheel is so much heavier.

For all I care, it would be fine to slice the flexplate in half and weigh each half. That flexplate is cheap and abundant.

If I get a 50 pound Dauntless 225 flywheel, neutral balanced, and slap it on...will its insanely heavy weight effectively make the imbalance meaningless? Probably not.
