if a 4banger s10 can go a 105 so can you. but there is a small tach that would fit in the indicator. i guy used one in place of his clock on a 68 gs400. but it was black faced. but im sure you could have a stainless overlay piece made to match up that shit.

:hmm: For that matter, I could DIY. Buy a cheap tach, buy a junkyard fuel gauge that matches mine, combine, profit.

$200...that'd blow my budget.

shootermcgavin003 06-24-2010 03:09 PM

the later lesabres had black gauges you could just run all black sunpros for cheap and it would look just as nice.

theholycow 06-24-2010 03:10 PM

Yup, just idiot lights.

DNW digital tach, sounds like it'd be worthless.

I like the spun nickel/aluminum look, black would be ugly. This is one of the few things where I care how it looks, because I'll actually be looking at it often.

shootermcgavin003 06-24-2010 03:17 PM

some of them had spun dash's with black gauges those are the best looking ones. well you could make a stainless over lay easy like i said cause the gauges are lit from the front not back on most aftermarket gauges.

digital tach isnt bad actually it just reads the rpm in numbers

theholycow 06-24-2010 03:18 PM

When you're accelerating, the digital numbers would have to either jump in large increments or change so fast you can't read them. Analog is for me. Your idea with the overlay is probably the right thing for me to do.
