A teenager was shot to death after he left a rap concert Sunday in east Harris County.

Tevin Williams, 17, was shot about 6:30 p.m. in the 14500 block of Wallisville, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

He was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he later died.

Deputies said Williams and his friends left the concert in the 5600 Uvalde not long before the shooting happened.

They were riding in a black Dodge Charger when some of their other friends riding nearby in a red Ford Escort had a minor traffic collision.

Williams, his friends in the Escort and other vehicles pulled into the parking lot of a closed business.

Then Williams and his friends argued with a man who was behind the wheel of a black Jeep Wrangler.

The man pulled out a gun and shot at Williams and his friends, police said. Williams was hit by the gunfire.

Then the man sped away. A woman was riding in the passenger seat.

The man is described only as black and between 25 years old and 30 years old. He was bald.

No description was available of the woman.

The Jeep had no roof and appeared to have factory aluminum wheels.
