The good news:
My part came in a couple days ago.

The bad news:
I've been wasting my fucking time and money. The hard line cracked right where I would have had to cut it.

More bad news:
I didn't realize that until after I started cutting the old fitting, so I can't even sell off one fitting.

More bad news:
My digital caliper broke while I was using it to measure the hard line.

Adding insult to injury:
The fuel filter that came out looks like new. I didn't fucking need to do this project.

well I want to go see my friend from high school who had a bad motorcycle wreck about a month ago he's in a rehab facility down the street from my shop. BUT the have fitted him with a helmet because they removed part of his scull to relieve pressure on his brain. now i have pretty good self-control but I do know about not atleast giggling at his helmet.

this is why I try and avoid going to see people in hospitals or go to funerals I am not very good at sympathy or saying the right thing in these situations so when I do go I just try to say hi and keep to my self
