23k sounds pretty cheap for that, actually...by today's standards.

No cloth interior? Doesn't matter, I'm not buying it and I'm the only person in America who prefers cloth.

My transmission cooler leak is getting pretty nasty, but my only options are buy a new cooler and two new lines or wait until I get a couple warm days when I can park the truck and try another hack repair.

stonehenge 02-21-2011 02:59 PM

:word: 23k for a TDI doesn't sound too bad at all

.GARY. 02-21-2011 02:59 PM

I will admit, I get about as excited as a bullfrog watching a sporting event, but even I jumped up yesterday when this guy won the race. :rofl2:

Ask for wheel photos on Lifted Suspension & Offroad at GMFS, those guys love that question. :sarcasm:

I haven't watched NASCAR since like 1998 or so but I happened to be at a friend's place where the last few minutes was on. Friend told me all about the dude, looks like a rising star to me.

Also, I see that drafting has somehow managed to get closer...I remember a small gap where you could see between vehicles, now one car's lip is under the other car's bumper and I could swear the cars are touching.

SarkOzy 02-21-2011 04:14 PM

Yea, they have to push each other around the track now. It's just an evolution of it. It's always changed every few years. 10 years ago they ran around in a huge single file line. Then it was in big packs. Now it's in tandem.

I remember when I was at Talladega last fall they really seemed to start getting the hang of it. There were about 4 cars that left everyone else by a half lap.

It's certainly interesting. Makes the races much more competitive since passing is easier.
