Chris, you'd be proud of me, I kinda did transmission stuff today. Not like changing fluid or anything, but I did begin to look at stuff.

The other day I got the car up on ramps. Today I put some stands under it and some wheels under the bumpers as backup in case the ramps aren't stable...but before I did that I tried my hardest to knock it off the ramps.

I also drove the S10 onto two layers of 2x lumber to give me just a couple inches more room, I barely fit under it before.

Anyway, I got under the Buick to take photos and measure stuff, and saw an inspection cover I could remove to expose the torque converter...so I removed it. I also measured stuff under both vehicles and looked at speedometer takeoffs.

bwahahaha...like you can jump a harley like that!

I have to say, laying under a vehicle is more disturbing than I remember. I don't think I've done any significant amount of it in over ten years, except under my pickup which has plenty of clearance without even being on planks.
