2005_Silverado 03-09-2010 09:00 PM

those didnt have snap thingies on the fuel lines?

theholycow 03-09-2010 09:01 PM

At the fuel filter it's screw-on. In my case, it was rust-on.

2005_Silverado 03-09-2010 09:01 PM

ah nvmd...im thinking ff on ww :slap: gm got rid of ff's some time between 00-03 didnt they?

theholycow 03-09-2010 09:01 PM

I think 03 they did. My 02 definitely has it...

2005_Silverado 03-09-2010 09:02 PM

is it screw-on on both ends?

theholycow 03-09-2010 09:02 PM

Yes.

2005_Silverado 03-09-2010 09:02 PM

I think after a couple weeks of pB blaster and cold from an upside-down canned air, I got one of the nuts to unscrew...but the other one had to be slotted with the dremel until it loosened itself, then unscrewed.

2005_Silverado 03-09-2010 09:03 PM

heat from propane and propane accesory torch wouldve fixed it :shake:

theholycow 03-09-2010 09:04 PM

Heat from propane...on a gas line? I'd rather take my chances with the dremel.

I need to make a list of bolts that I should turn once a year just to prevent them getting seized.

2005_Silverado 03-09-2010 09:04 PM

propane flame + gas line = no more truck = no filter to replace...EVAR! perma-fix

theholycow 03-09-2010 09:05 PM

I have two brake caliper pins on the front that are seized. I should try heat on those the next time I do my brakes.

2005_Silverado 03-09-2010 09:06 PM

just dont heat too much and melt seals on caliper

theholycow 03-09-2010 09:06 PM

Mmm, edible packing peanuts.

theholycow 03-09-2010 09:07 PM

If I no heat too mash, I no get them unseized....si?

Chevrolet Fanatic 03-09-2010 09:07 PM

theholycow 03-09-2010 09:07 PM
