Unfortunately it isn't the Droid's issue, it is Verizon's network. The Verizon/Sprint type of network technology (CDMA) doesn't support both transferring at once. The other type (GSM) supports both. That include AT&T and T-Mo. So no phone patch can fix it. That's just how it is. :shrug:
I had an ipod touch and that + 3g/phone still wouldn't beat my droid. I like the Droids browser better, the ability to modify more things (I'm running a different keyboard, sms/mms app, and homescreen than stock). iPhone is too locked down for me. I like to mess with my electronics lol
