My dad built a big ass platform from 2x4s and plywood, put down green sandpapery stuff that's supposed to represent grass I guess, and then a bunch of little model trees and shit as well as the tracks and controller. That may be the most art/hobby thing my dad has ever done.

I always wanted trains or those cars on the little track but for some reason never got them. I think if I had shown enough interest, my parents prob would have got them but :shrug: I had like 5 million hot wheels / matchbox / knockoff cars tho.

I had some cheap knockoff slot cars a couple times, those tended to suck but they were still fun.

you know what I think I did have some for a while.. I remember underneath, didn't they have like a little metal brush that made contact with the track?

YES! That's exactly what I remember about them, and didn't it get really dirty and shit?

Yes! I must have had some if I remember that. This made me remember these huge (at least I remember them being big) semi-truck remote controlled cars (may have been slot also) that you could race at a truck stop my dad would go to. They were bamf. brb googling
