I'd find the large auto salvage lots and look there. Google is your friend.

IS there such a thing as DexV? I know for like a year or so they went from DexIII to DexIV, then DexVI came out which supplants all previous blends. You won't be able to find DexIII for much longer.

theholycow 03-04-2010 02:51 PM

Now I'm totally confused. Maybe there wasn't DexV. I should just wait until I get home and look at what I've got, I still haven't done anything with it, it's just sitting in my basement.

If the temperature stays in the 30s this weekend I think I'm going to do a major interior emptying/cleaning of my truck like I haven't done in years, and then see about getting a new windshield. I just need to scrape up $50 for my insurance deductible...or maybe I should change to 0 deductible for a month.

2002 is still DexIII fyi. If you have it use it. DexVI is a better product, but not so much better that I'd throw out the DexIII. :read:

I had a new windshield put in in October. It already has two massive rock chips and is pitted/sandblasted. :blah:

its supposed to warm up in the 60s this weekend though thank god

theholycow 03-04-2010 02:58 PM

Got full coverage insurance? I think almost every insurance company in every state will pay to get your windshield chips filled without requiring you to pay a deductible. Get 'em filled now while you can.

Ah nice. Supposed to warm up around Lexington too. Poor Leslie has had enough of winter. It's snowed everytime I've been there since Christmas. :rofl2: We're going on a 9-day vacation to West Palm Beach next Friday though.

Get it. I'd get stock replacement rings and bearing while you're at it. Might as well if you're blowing it apart.

I've gotta find out how much it costs to get rock chips fixed or just buy the damn kit for $12 myself and do it.
