I've gone back to a stock pcm and everything now. Truck runs better than it ever did when it was cammed, tuned, etc

I was 16.4:1 at 55mph. That's the STOCK fuel map in the pcm too. It's not good for emissions though so that's why it wasn't tuned into cars/trucks then.

They made GM completely remove it from the e38 type pcms

I have two 1,200 miles trips coming up in the next 3 weeks. Gonna wait until after that to change my trans fluid. I'll drop the valve body and put my 2-3 accumulator back in. :roflmao:

I was going to use the stock Holden LC tables at first but someone over on PT sent me a tune with some less aggressive target AFR tables

IIRC all I need to do is remove a block-off rod I installed in the valve body with the shift kit and put the accumulator piston back in with a heavier spring.

I changed my trans fluid and filter in September, and 20K miles later it's dark red. :thumbsdown:

Aerodynamic drag is way more important for fuel economy than weight, unless you only ever do aggressive city stop-and-go driving. For commuting to pB's place, weight might matter a little going up mountains, but for average rolling hills and flat highway driving weight becomes meaningless (which is why huge Cadillacs can get the same highway fuel economy as little Toyotas).

True. THat's why I'll wait until I get over the mountain passes to re-fuel. I don't need the added weight of all that gasoline going from sea level up to 6000'. Plus there are a few grades of up to 7 and 9% I have to get up. I just pull it down to 3rd and set the cruise at the speed limit of 50 up those. Having less than a half-tank of fuel makes a noticeable difference. But I75 in Kentucky up to Lexington is HUGE rolling hills once you get out of the mountains in TN. None make my truck downshift but it does unlock the TC for long periods. THat's hell on my mileage. I over-analyze the shit out of this stuf. :jester:

20.1 mpg on flat grounds @ 71
21.1 mpg on flat grounds @ 66-67
18.1 mpg on upwards inclines and flat grounds(mostly incline) @ 71
