yeah it was a cheap version of the shine...

if by those fancy words u mean it wont work with a stilus ala iphone, then yes. no need to put ur weight into the screen, just put ur finger on it and it works. Screen also has proximity sensor so when ur on a call, ur not pressing #s with ur cheek

Android is also completely different than those type of phones. So much more you can do.

I read an article that said the Droid has "Gorilla Glass" that is much more resistant to scratches, pitting, cracks, shattering, etc. One guy on the droid forum managed to break his already though and the phone kept working just find even though it looked like ass. He said his iPhone broke the same way and you couldn't see anything and it wouldn't respond to touch. Droid ftw.
