Take it to an independent shop that will do all the bullshit talking to the insurance company for you.

I think that ^^^ may be what happened with mine. I talked to the insurance and they told me some shops and I happened to like one so I went to it. I never dealt with an adjuster or anything.

The only time I've had to deal with an adjuster was when my stereo, laptop, camera, and ipad were stolen from the truck. I didn't want them to give me money for the stock stereo or some POS so I took the boxes to them and talked to them about it. Wasn't a pain in the ass though.

Take it to such a shop and ask. They won't want the hassle/bullshit of taking your truck and promising they can take care of everything, if they can't actually do it.
