For a task killing app try either TasKiller or Advanced Task Killer. Both have free versions. One might be in Aptoide too, haven't looked.

You can get Beautiful Widgets from :secret: and add it to your desktop. Will have big clock + current weather. Press it to see next couple days forecast.

If you just want a weather app, look up the weather channel one, its pretty good.

Oh, no. I'm running 2.0.2 and I think you're running the same unless 2.0.3 was out by the time you did it. Go to Settings > About phone and Build Number is all the way at the bottom. If anything on the change list sounds nice to you or you just want to do it then go for it, I don't think it will hurt anything. Plus if you do a Nandroid backup like I explained a little while ago, you can go back to your old setup with like 0 effort :pepper:

No one knows. There have been like 5 different rumored dates and they've all passed. Motorola posted on their facebook last week or the week before that it was coming out that weekend. Obviously they lied lol. It shouldn't be far off though.

Once I learned how easy it is to make a backup first and that restoring that backup makes it go back to EXACTLY how it was before, I have no fear of trying new roms and whatnot.

Yeah if you are rooted/recovery-romd/flashed, you can go back to stock EASY. You download a specific zip file, put it on your sdcard, hold x while your phone boots up, choose to install the zip file, reboot. Done.

First link works for me and I can't read much spanish most the time either :rofl2: translate.google.com does wonders.

As for what ROM to run, I've tried Bugless Beast and SholesMod and both are great. Me and Eddie are using SholesMod right now. There are other ROMs based on 2.1 also. They tend to be a touch more buggy but some of them have some nice features, like the Live Wallpapers I posted earlier.

I just want one thats going to give the least amount of problems

How To: Root/Recover/Flash your motherfucking Droid (The easy way)

1) ACQUIRE & INSTALL SMUPDATER:

There are two ways to do this. You can pay $5 in the market and always have the latest version on your phone and support development of the ROM or you can get it for free from the Sholes Team website. I'm cheap/poor so I chose the latter.

To get it from the market, search for "smupdater" and you should get "SholesMod Updater" as a result. Pay for it and install it and then go to the next step.

If you want to do it the free way, go to Sholes.info and look through the recent posts for the latest version of SMUpdater. At the time of this writing, the latest was Version 8. The easiest way to get it onto your phone is to visit the link from your phones browser. Once it has finished downloading, tap it and you should be given the option to install it. Now go to the next step.

2) RUN DAT SHIT:

Now find "SholesMod Updater" in your app list and run it.

This is where it gets weird because I don't remember exactly what the app shows you or tells you. If I run it, it is different because I'm already rooted/recovered.

Essentially the program will walk you through the following steps:

- Root (will require restarting while holding X and applying an update.zip)
- Recovery (should be flashed by the app, you shouldn't have to do anything)
- Flash (it will let you pick a ROM version and then it will restart)



That's pretty much it, the app makes it really easy.
