I guess its good money, just worked VERY VERY VERY hard, not taking lunches or breaks and having to deal with production floor drama and trying to understand the filipino management team. Would come home, dead tired from work and 1-1.5hr drive back :(

Burglaries are an unfortunately commonplace event in daily urban life, but on some very rare occasions their outcomes give cause for celebration and maybe even a smile. Two young men from the Portland area, keen to get on the smartphone bandwagon without paying, broke in and stole a pair of Motorola Android handsets (along with other electronics) from a nearby household. What they didn't foresee, however, was that one of the phones would have the free Lookout app, which automatically backs up all photos taken with the handset to a user-accessible server every night. So, in the midst of testing out their ill-gotten loot, the criminals provided the phone's legitimate owner with enough visual clues for the police to swoop in and apprehend one of them. The search for his partner in crime continues, but the "gadget versus man" fight has already concluded with a clear win for what we presume was a Droid. http://www.wilsonvillespokesman.com/...lary/news.aspx :jester: |
our cost of living here is incredibly low.
I was doing good when I made 40K/yr. Damn good. |
I need a higher paying yob methinks but there isn't shit here and if I were to leave I'd be fucking these guys over because theres a hiring freeze and they can't hire anyone else. Plus the benefits and free school are nice...

Transferred credits all depend on the schools involved. They all have certains credits that they will accept and others they won't :/

Jay it also depends on what classes you took at the technical college. If it was a specialized program, then perhaps some of the credits wouldn't transfer. However if you took general classes like English, Math, etc those most always transfer. You can go back and look them up to find out. Tons of people are doing the first two years of their 4-year degree at technical/community colleges. It makes incredible sense when you think about it. Unless you're on scholarship, it costs less than half of what a 4-year school would cost for those two years.
