Thank you for the concern regarding law enforcement and safety pertaining to the level of service provided to the community of Calexico. While those involved in public safety are held to a high standard of conduct, we too expect the dedication and integrity to be carried out by our safety employees throughout their hours of service while on or off duty. Your concerns have been forwarded to the Chief and his administration for further inquiry and response.

As a side note, the clarity of the photos provided were inconclusive, making it difficult to make out an officer (as well as who it may be), but rest assured it will be looked into and we will address the entire body of officers and remind them of their duty to be vigilant and mindful of their obligations in maintain the highest level of competence and public safety. I welcome the information provided by the community pertaining to the level of service provided by the City of Calexico and respect your personal vigilance serving as the “eyes and ears” as well.
