I guess Cisco is out of your price range.

I get calls all the time from vendors wanting to sell me used Cisco switches with lifetime warranties.

Tis what we like over here but yeah.. $$$.. I've always liked NetGear over D-Link though.

theholycow 10-29-2009 04:18 PM

My only major NetGear and D-Link has been on home router/firewall/wireless products. I liked the NetGear better but the D-Link is more stable.

2005_Silverado 10-29-2009 04:20 PM

wan, IDK how old it be...I haz to ask :shake:

Well, its not out of mine and the guy is loaded. I just for the little shit they'll be doing in the office a Cisco wasn't necessary.

I chose this one..

Yeah pero some of those "Classic" ones be pretty old since they have been selling Touchs for so long. The Classic ones still use an OG hard drive and can fail because hard drives weren't meant to be bouncing around in pockets. All the new ones use solid state drives with no moving parts. If you get it and hear little clicks inside when turning it on and skipping through songs and shit then the HD may be bad or going bad. :blah: Me and my bro have had a few die but since I got my parents solid state Nanos and me a solid state Touch, I've had 0 problems. Just sayin

2005_Silverado 10-29-2009 04:31 PM

so 80 gig be an OG Ipod then? I might pass...I thought they was all like flash drives :(

SarkOzy 10-29-2009 04:32 PM

I use normal Valvoline 20w50 an AC filter, so idk, $30 tops?

2005_Silverado 10-29-2009 04:33 PM

:whoa: @ 20/50....... WW uses 5/20, camray uses 5/30

SarkOzy 10-29-2009 04:34 PM

WL's engine has wider tolerances than teh Camray though.

2005_Silverado 10-29-2009 04:36 PM

even my 4.8s and 5.3 used 10/30 brah. only time I used 20/50 was on my old 460...loser cousin would run straight 50 on his 454 :blah:

theholycow 10-29-2009 04:39 PM

What kind of vehicle is WL? 20W50 is bound to leave the engine starved for oil when the oil pump can't keep up...

2005_Silverado 10-29-2009 04:40 PM

Obs 5.7?

JayBo 10-29-2009 04:40 PM

Nothing this guy uses has a gigabit card.
I might get 10/100 instead to save him some money and get a more realiable switch

WL's oil sticker says 5w30. But I don't have a stock engine lol.

Dunno how that would ever starve it for oil. Not like it even gets cold enough to make the oil thick here.

2005_Silverado 10-29-2009 04:52 PM

yeah, IDK about starving for oil...but it does seem a bit on the thick side...but if youve been running it like that w/o issues then youre fine Id guess :hump:

SarkOzy 10-29-2009 04:58 PM

It is definitely a real hard drive, not solid state :( Now that doesn't mean that it is old or broken because they still sold them for a long time after the Touch and whatnot came out. Pero Nanos, Minis, etc be a little more reliable, only prob is they don't have 80gb :whoa:
