Bah! If you can't fly over bumps then your vehicle doesn't belong on the road.

Then again, I'm the guy who goes through wheel bearings as often as brakes...I never slow down for anything.

Mainly I drive these two:

2008 VW Rabbit 2.5L I5, 5 speed manual. Ugly gay hatchback that is really nice to drive.

2002 Sierra 1500 4x4 5.3 extended cab with 186,000 miles. Mostly stock, mostly original, mostly worn out, mostly neglected...still kickass.

Yup. I think I've replaced both at least twice in 186,000 miles...maybe more often.

For a few years it felt like I was replacing a bearing every month...I know it wasn't really like that.

I wonder how many I've actually gone through.

I've had my transmission out 4 times in the last 12 months. Once was to swap it for my spare though.
