Flashed Shiny yesterday. Its mostly stock 4.3. So far the only things I miss are themes (blue clock pls) and the clear all button on Recents. Feels pretty fast though.

it should be a xenon thing, look inside Settings and find the category that Xenon adds (forget what it's called on that rom) then look for statusbar or transparency or something. It's probably set to transparent right now, just adjust that slider when you find it.

shouldn't need to restart, just adjust the slider and then back out of settings and hit home to see if it changed

I've been running Shiny since last week and it has been great. Battery life seems better, phone seems quicker, and overall it is MUCH more stable. No random reboots or anything anymore.
I found mods made for the rom to enable a kill all button on recents, some modifications to the quick toggles, etc. The only thing I'm missing is long-press volume to change tracks. Miss that real bad. Otherwise it is stock 4.3 and I loves it. Still want to try out Xposed to apply a theme. Hopefully this dude releases a 4.3.1 version of this. ---------- Post added at 09:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:09 AM ---------- actually, he released his 4.3.1 build 3 days ago, maybe I should pay attention

The gravity box on xposed has the vol track mod but it doesn't work on the maxx I think because of the active notifications

yep install xposed app. then inside that app install their framework. might have to reboot. then install whatever modules you want. i think you have to reboot after every install. alot of the indiv. mods work without reboot. they say if they req. a reboot.

Can you ROM-flashing peeps read this and tell me if I am wrong or they are?
http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comm...ot_yet/ccrcwh5 Three different people are telling me I'm wrong but I could have sworn that ROM installations automatically wipe /system/... right?

I think it depends on the rom and how they build it.
Most roms do not wipe anything but maybe..... dalvik and cache. 4.3 Roms clear the cache for you. I've wiped caches and data and the device admin always stuck in place if I recall correctly. which one are you? |
