Yup, you'll have to find it marked down in the clearance bin. Read the fatwallet thread, there is a link to an inventory checker and that will show you which store has it in stock and if it's clearanced there. I don't know how accurate it it.

This kind of deal is hit-or-miss.

i wonder if i should go check, maybe lazy bishes didn't check clearance since they know they don't carry nooks anymore

First rule of ridiculous deals: Don't call the store, you'll tip off employees when they look it up and they'll tell you it's not there and then buy it with employee discount on top of already ridiculous deal.

I'm going to a Staples, wife is going to one, and mom may be going to one. If we can score a few that'd be great. Mom has been in the market for a high-end e-reader/tablet for a while but at least she'll be able to read books while she drags that decision around. Wife does a crapload of e-reading on a cheap godawful generic e-reader, so this will be an upgrade for her. I would play around with one too.

Did not end up with extras...didn't even come up with as many as I wanted. I scored two, wife scored one, mom struck out. Giving one to mom, I'm keeping one, wife's keeping one.

Wanted a second one for heavier hacking, a few to give as gifts, etc.
