The carb is 30 years old, may never have been serviced, and really shitty...nobody but me would tolerate a car running like this, and even I'm a bit weary of it by now.

My plan doesn't include making it particularly powerful, I just want it to start easily, run smoothly, and get improved fuel economy.

No, 4.1 Buick V6...same entire engine as the old 3.8 except wider bore.

yup that is the coveted pre 2005 production 0w30 "made in germany" castrol syntec. I've been through a few forums and there are guys who literally have 100 bottles of this stuff squirreled away

I used to see those fwd 3.8's all over the yards here and most of them had the turbo six emblem on the intake.....even though they were NA

anyhow the easiest is a bank to bank type mpfi your basically copying a tuned port camaro/vette set up

Yeah, but the turbo PCMs are tuned for turbos, and besides, the turbo cars aren't going to be cheap donors. I'm looking for another $250 beater I can drive home before I disassemble it.

AFAIK no new chip is necessary, should just work...

well actually arent the na cars mpfi injected in the regals

you will need bigger injectors and tune i think your a little bigger block little different bore

cao though if its a dist less engine you need crank sensors and some other odds and ends

cheap is buy the fwd engine put the parts on 4.1 block would be pretty quick actually over 200 hp na
