Any of you guys buy a phone from wirefly.com? They have the Galaxy Nexus (Verizon) for $149.99. Verizon store and BestBuy are still at $299.99 for it. From going through the addons/checkout crap, it doesn't look anything will change from my current plan.

I don't think any of us have ever used Wirefly but the Android blogs and Android forums have plenty of people who have used it successfully afaik. But yeah, I'd probably use Amazon if it was me.

I went ahead and ordered it from amazon. They're saying I should have it by Tues. Now I just need to go back and read through this thread and get ideas as to what you guys are doing to this phone.

If you plan to unlock/root it then do it right away IMO. The unlock process will wipe the entire internal memory so anything you do before unlocking will be undone.

If that is what you plan on doing then unlock, recovery (TWRP imo), and pick a rom. For a stock-like rom with lots of goodies added, try AOKP, Liquid, or Gummy. For something different, try MIUI. You might want to flash a set of radios too.

You can ask me or the Mikes (chevyrado/MikeH) about most of those things since we are constantly flashing shit on our GNex

Yea I'll probably root it. Thanks for that info. If MIUI is like the one I had on my Inc., I didn't care for it too much. I'll have plenty of time to screw around with different shit while I'm wasting time at work.

This is a new build of MIUI that uses ICS as a base. Still roughly the same thing though.

I always end up back on AOKP. It is updated often, has more theme options, and has all the options I want.
