yea. lilith be second angel not really. all angels have some dna from the og adam except lilith and liliths soul is in rei they no bone it up. i think it was in the manga that its explained that humans werent supposed to exists and beings similar to angels were supposed to exist. or something along those lines

 nope. they never go into where they come from. maybe they split from adam in the 2nd impact or something  they try to make contact with lillith and adam. hence why they ALWAYS appear in tokyo 3
