KCV heater stopped working
much bigger problem than A/C not working car blows cold air no matter if its set to heat or air could be blend door actuator or heater core if its the door thingy its probably stuck saw a couple vids of people attaching a cable to it and just manually opening it DFW old school heat |

Srsly tho, my heater has never gone out in any vehicle, it's always the AC if anything.

Yeah, ac on dad's truck is total shit.
I'd hate to fix ac or heat anyway.

Before going straight to a scary diagnosis like the blend door, I'd look at fuses, control panel, and wiring.

My brothers police issued CV would hang on cold. He would switch it to hot before starting and it would work normal after he cranked it.

draining the radiator right now. the plug was broken off into the damn thing. Had to jam a screwdriver into it and just twist. bought a new one at oreily
its pouring out completely brown liquid right now gonna run water through it first then add prestone flush and cleaner and more water its says for the heavy duty clean you add the cleaner plus water and drive for a few days. turn the heat on full blast every so often to get the cleaner to the heater core and other elements i'm putting in two bottles and water after the few days i'm gonna run TONS of water through the system until it runs crystal clear Last edited by BillyJeanKing; 09-16-2015 at 02:54 AM. |
