Cao, think you could help me out with some malware? I got this pesky one but it doesn't seem to do much.

open browser, it opens a tab called mediashifting.com
go to google, search anything, click on link, it redirects to 95p.com or some shit.

I can't find much info on it to remove. Malware bytes doesn't do shit

The last time I ran into the google links that redirect, it was a rootkit. Had to remove it with ComboFix

got my IT guy on it but he's slow and was saying I need a fresh install. Too lazy to fix.

fuck this virus and the google links. Metacrawler works fine

Could also check for browser proxy settings. Which browser do you use?

Could also check contents of c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Of course, could start with the usual tools like Spybot S&D and Malwarebytes.

A fresh install will probably get rid of it if you want to wipe everything out but ComboFix would probably get rid of it (unless it's just a proxy/host thing like cao said, then it will be an even easier fix).

Morning.

Well had to take el Weinor to ER vet last night, seems he hurt himself. Was laying on couch other day and did something he has never done and jumped off the back of it, seems he may have hurt/pulled/strained some chest muscles. He is all doped up now and wont come to the wife or I, just wants to be left alone

sorry not much of a happy dance this AM for me.
