I use teh AOSP browser as well. Better on battery too.

If your phone has a normal "Browser" in the app drawer, that is the one we are talking about. It's a lot faster than Chrome but Google has been pushing Chrome with all the newest versions of Android instead of the old fast browser.

random stuff in the play store has been showing up as incompatible for me. Including regular things like the official Twitter app and SwiftKey

I don't really have any complaints about Chrome. Are y'all syncing it? I'm using stock 4.2.2 in le N4 and it's fine for me. Sync is turned off so that may help.......

Mike/Cez, do you have Gallery lag problems running ROMs? I've tried CM/AOKP/Carbon/Xylon and every single one has ridiculous lag and chop when opening the "Camera" folder inside the Gallery. Does it with both the GoogleGallery.apk and Gallery2.apk included in the ROM. Stock is obviously smooth or I wouldn't be bitching.

It's minor shitty quirks like that which seems to always push me back to stock. The data drops caused by the HSIC/bionic patches I can deal with, but for whatever reason all of the ROMs I've tried annoy me with little things. Same thing happens with custom kernels, just by flashing Franco or Faux' modified kernel I get constant reboots. Always no issues with stock or Faux stock "enhanced" kernel that just has the HSIC/color modules added.

chrome is nice as far as layout, settings, tabs, etc, etc but it is too slow. Yeah I'm syncing, maybe thats why.

I use quickpic so I dunno Chris.

I still think Plume be the best. Falcon is nice considering it's only a $1, but I dont use it at all anymore. Only really use to because Plume was laggy as hell on 4.2

For a basic user who only checks twitter occasionally, then definitely, but not at all for someone who spends quite a bit of time on there.
