I know a few carriers dont let you buy phones as soon as they are released, gotta wait a bit. Not sure if VZW is that way though.

the flash seems to be normal for when a device first launches with a new version of android, adobe will update it shortly after and all will be well with life

the mass storage is explained in the d-l article, it will be just like all the tablets right now that have large internal storage
