HTPC has a 240/250gb Samsung 850 EVO....great luck with it so far.
HTPC RAM is 8gb HyperX and the reviews of comparable Mac laptop memory are good.

There are tons of RAM/SSD manufacturers. We've been sticking with Crucial because we've had good luck and they're usually in the middle of the price spectrum.

If I remove my current hd with music, can I still connect it to iPod for iTunes? Would save money by buying smaller hd

accidentally altered some settings in dd-wrt firmware for HTPC via teamviewer. lost Wake on lan abilities. oops.
hoping my automatic updates that turns on at 3:00am will leave device running. haha.
